Jane Muschenetz aka @PalmFrondZoo

Jane Face 2022.jpg

My artwork and writing are informed by extensive travel and 20+ active years in education and business. I hold an MBA from MIT and serve on the boards of Temple Emanu-El and MIT Sloan Alum Club of San Diego, where I live with my husband and two kids. Recently, I took on the role of Director of Partnerships at San Diego Entertainment & Arts Guild.  My previous work includes advising Fortune 500 companies on business development and marketing strategy as a consultant at Bain & Co's Boston and San Francisco offices and leading After School Enrichment Programs for Birney Elementary, a wonderful, Title 1 K-5 school in University Heights.

A Russian-speaking Jew who came to the US as a refugee from Ukraine at 10 years old, identity and cultural displacement strongly influence my work (especially work meant for grown ups). I am proud to contribute content to organizations that support inclusion, diversity, children, education, animals, art and literature. I also accept commissions. Please don't hesitate to contact me by using the form below. Art brought me unexpected joy during a difficult time. I hope sharing it with others will bring them joy and inspiration as well.

Read my poem about how this whole zoo started here and about how a frond becomes a living canvas here.
