Short Writer's Bio

Jane Muschenetz

Ukrainian-born, Russian-speaking Jew, Jane (Yevgenia!) Muschenetz was granted asylum in the US as a child refugee. Today, she is a fully-grown MIT nerd, mother, artist and Pushcart-nominated emerging writer. In 2022, Jane won the Good Life Review Poetry Prize and was shortlisted for the Jacar Press Chapbook Competition. Jane's first collection of poetry, “All the Bad Girls Wear Russian Accents,” is forthcoming from Kelsay Books in 2023. Connect with Jane's work at her website,, and in various publications.
